eHow Lowering Payments?

I write for eHow.com and have for about 10 months. For the first several months, earnings were slowly increasing. Eventually I was hitting about $20 per month. Granted, that’s not a stellar amount, but it’s the most I have ever achieved from writing online for for money.

But, in the last five or six months, my dollars earned have been steadily DEcreasing. At first it wasn’t too much of a loss, so I figured it was normal. Earnings DO tend to go up and down, right? Yeah. But this was weird. The first two months had a loss of about $6 per month. So I was down to an about $14 per month. Ok. That’s alright. At least I was still getting money. But then, it took a nosedive into the pits of nothingness land.

Now I’m getting (If I’m really lucky) about $1 a month. While I didn’t pay to be a member, I am quite aggravated that so much writing has come down to a dollar per month. If I wanted that much, I would take a stroll and pick up change on the street.

I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed such a drastic drop in revenues. If you have, how much have you lost?

Still, this could be seen as a good thing. As a result of such losses, I am now actively looking around for other websites on which I can write and earn. I am familiar with Triond, Bukisa, eHow, Squidoo, and Hubpages. Still, I like to look at all the facts and check out everything before I take the dive into writing for anyone.

I look forward to your comments and suggestions.
