In your introduction state what you are going to do. You can write 3 or 4 main paragraphs. Make sure you use the P.E.E chain, Point Evidence, Explain. Examiners look for this its essential. In your conclusion summarise your points.
Always refer to the essay question, make sure your answering it and not something else. Link your points back to the essay question also. With it being poems from other cultures you can also add some context, if you think that it influences the poem in anyway or has some significance. Do NOT just write what you know all the time, give your own theories and points to show you have considered the poems. Use connectives such as however and whereas to show you are comparing the poems,
