Sorry, but the writing is below average book. It was cool in his attitude toward writing. That is infused with anyone. The text of the book are far from its title. In five words, it is dry and boring. The author makes the following pronouncments many are often banal and trivial, but rather a referral to the author, fresh and sparkling. Consider instead Carolyn See the books to write. See the books are useful, hums with energy, in contrast to the Burroiay. Other authors writing as Heilburn and Goldberg and Dillard and La Mott not been tired out as the attitude of "we know that only three people in the world, in fact, what great literature. "

I have this book in a class. I found it very useful because many of the chapters are rather abstract. Walk around without reaching the point in many cases. The examples of essays, stories and poems were very uninteresting and boring. I guess if you like negative, sensational stories Americans see nothing against it. However, I prefer deep interaction between characters, with a little history and adventure. It's also good having it written with the use eloquent, beautiful language. Well, not here.

Of fantasy fiction, the elements of art by Janet Burroway is a class textbook. The book is widely used in university studies in creative writing classes used. I do not understand why the textbook will be used writing classes when in short, suggesting that further falls. The textbook is an excessive number of samples of short stories and poems. One has to wonder whether or not understand the objectives of the textbooks in the study and analysis of the short story, instead focusing on what the title takes students match the textbooks. The textbook has a chapter on the subject of the composition of dialogue and behind the description of the elements of creative writing. The chapter on "Picture", "Voice," "Character," "Preferences," History "and" development and revision, "the need for better understanding of creative writing will be extended elements. Furthermore, the author should revise the textbook, and add more learning concepts for each piece of creative writing. The textbook has a chapter on the use of "dialogue" and the "scene" of the building. The development and review of chapter "behind him. In addition, textbook readings employ more than fifty percent of the textbooks. The author should focus more on the elements of creative writing rather than in the study of short fiction and poetry. I do not recommend this textbook for students who wish to learn the elements of creative writing. However, some universities require the textbook for creative writing classes. However, students and readers interested in creative writing, it is better to buy the books, the extensive information on various creative writing containing the elements. The Kids on the Block
