I doubt if an employer would find you in article directories and contact you – however – you could mention in your CV that you have x number of articles published on the net. Maybe you coud also do a personal blog which you could link your articles to – also to impress a prospectie emplyer – good luck
The main goal of submitting articles online is to get known/found. Article banks generally get lots of traffic and have good page ranks (search results are shown sorted by page rank/relevance).
So, if your goal is to have an employer find you, it’s a fine strategy. Notice if you have your own website, you could (and should) likewise post the articles there as well.
