A Few Of The Best Movies From Each Type
Seems that each one has their favorite kind of movie. A few have a preference dramas, some like chick flicks, many persons get pleasure from a good documentary and of course there are the action movie fans amid us and then a few who will never miss a good horror movie. We may have our favorites but most of us will enjoy a movie that is a uncommon genre.
Great movies come in all different genres. Movies entertain us and we love them. Every movie is cool in someone’s eyes and of course there are a few movies that seem to be commonly loved.
All of the lists of the greatest movies are clouded by the view of the list maker. Most lists do add in the blockbuster hits but no list is ever complete because there will always be a movie that someone loved that is left off the list. You just cannot list every person’s favorites.
Dramas are pretty in style with most people. Some of the best drama’s from the past 20 years or so would contain “Slumdog Millionaire” from 2008, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” from 2004 from very recent, and “Schindler’s List” from 1993, “American Beauty” from 1999, “The Shawshank Redemption” and “Forrest Gump” both from 1994, and of course, a lot of others that there is no space to cite.
If you are addicted to horror movies there are many that are a have to see. “The Exorcist” is a classic along with “Silence of the Lambs” and “The Shining”. “30 days of Night” and “The Saw” franchise are some current hits that must be seen. Of course, there are always the “Friday, the 13th” and the “Halloween” movies. Many of Stephen King’s books have been made into some great horror flicks because he has always been good at scaring the bejesus out of us all!
The comedy movies are predisposed to amuse each one. Who doesn’t love to laugh? One movie that may only be proper for adults but will make you really, really laugh is “The 40 year old Virgin”. A couple of actors are really good at bringing us comical movies. Something by Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey is usually pretty hilarious. And the actor alumni from Saturday Night Live all make hilarious movies. Check out Will Farrell in “Semi-Pro” or “Blades of Glory” or anything for that matter or Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in “Baby Mama” from 2008.
Chick flicks are the movies that stir your heart that you want to see over and over again. If you like Reese Witherspoon make sure that you see “Sweet Home Alabama” or “Just Like Heaven”. There are the older standbys that people still love like “Sleepless in Seattle” or “Fools Rush In”. A chick flick that was great from 2008 was “What happens in Vegas” with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. One and all enjoys a great chick flick.
