How To Make Money From Your Blog – Part 1
Making some money from your blog is something anyone can do and in this 2 part article I’ll show you the steps involved. It’s very unlikely you’ll ever be rich from this kind of supplemental income however you could generate enough to help you out.
Firstly you need choose a specific topic for your blog, your blog should be very targeted to that one subject and nothing else. If you have another interest you want to write about then start a separate blog site for it. For a Blog to make money it must be received highly targeted traffic.
A great subject for any blog is anything you know a lot about. This could be a hobby, past time, job, sport… something which you can write confidently about and won’t mind writing daily updates for.
Having tried lots of blog formats I would recommend Google’s Blogger as being the easiest to start with. It really does take care of everything for you and in just one minute you’re up and running. Plus they are really easy to monetize later on when we get to it.
For your blog title choose words that people would use when search for your topic in Google. For example if you site is about Golf then name your blog ‘how to improve your golf’ or ‘golf lessons for beginners’, ‘how to learn to play golf’ ECT.
O.K with your site up and titled we have to start writing content and lots of it. Your posts should be well written, good quality content and completely original (written by you!). Update your blog every day with new content and this is going to continue for at least 2 weeks before going onto the next step.
At this point we have a blog and a history of good quality content being added every day. Now it’s time to let Google know your blog exists and generate some traffic. If you wait for Google to simply find you in one of its deep crawls you could be waiting forever, it’s far better to write some articles on your blog topic and submit them with backlinks to your blog on ezinearticles or goarticles. That’s by far the quickest way to get on Google’s radar.
