What does “views” in paid article writing mean?
Like in Associated content and Bukisa. Can someone cheat to have a higher view count? Like I can view my article numerous times, will it be counted? Or does this mean that a unique IP address is considered as 1 view, no matter how many times you view it. Please enlighten me.

No, it will not be counted. But no, each unique IP address is not considered as 1 view because some large sites use proxies that have only a single IP address but might have hundreds of unique users.
Sites that track views use very sophisticated algorithms to judge the number of views. It takes into account the IP address used but it also takes into account the timing of the accesses and the history of that IP address accessing other pages.
The specifically look for attempts to pump up the page views of articles, and they generally heavily penalize attempts to manipulate the page view count.
