In 2007, Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy, one of the top sellers in the Mario franchise of games. Soon to be released will be the next installment and much anticipated release of Super Mario Galaxy 2. This new game is everything you love about the first with much more.

In this game, once again we find Mario with the ability of teaming up with his dinosaur pal Yoshi. When Mario finds one of the special Yoshi eggs, he can break it open to find Yoshi inside. Then all he needs to do is hop aboard and he has the help of Yoshi. Utilizing the Wii controller, Yoshi can eat fruit and enemies to help out Mario on his quest.

Throughout Super Mario Galaxy 2, there are new tools for Mario to utilize, including a super drill that drills through the earth and takes Mario to the other side. Along with the new tools, there are also many others from the previous game that are utilized throughout the new release.

Another new feature is the multi player action. Another player can jump into the game with the other controller and help to collect stars and other important pieces in the game like 1ups. In the first Super Mario Galaxy, the other player could only help by collecting enemies and star bits.

Mario also has a new suit to wear in this game. The cloud suit when worn will give Mario the ability to summons a cloud which he can ride on. This will allow him to get to areas he could not otherwise access. However, the suit lasts only a limited time and has a limit of three uses per power-up.

As you can tell, there have been many new additions to the Super Mario galaxy 2 game from Nintendo. This new version of a beloved game promises more action and more on screen time for the characters. This game surpasses most of the previous Mario games released and will surely be a favorite to Mario fans.
