Reader Trust and How To Get it with Your Blog
What most business bloggers cannot seem to do very effectively is implementing the things that help their readers have enough trust to become customers. What you can do to make this happen is the subject of this article.
It is easy and understandable to think, and hope, that if you create a nice looking blog, then folks will naturally just open up and there will be a thousand comments, etc. However, if you’re not taking any steps to engage your readers then you’re definitely going to have problems getting them to trust your blog. Your readers will simply see your approach as cold and impersonal. It is fine to tell people to do something or ask questions that provoke them a little bit. Another great thing to do is create a post with questions, and you can put boxes to check off or even forms to complete with answers they write. Those are the kinds of things that can be effective if you say the right things or ask the right questions.
Your blog readers may like or dislike your content, they may agree or disagree with you and they may leave or stay on your blog – whatever the case is, they have a right to contact you. Visitors will check to see if you have a contact page, and then it should have a valid email address that it sends to, as well. There is no need to write essays to people or make things harder on you, just be normal and polite. So just keep all of that in mind because it is so simple to take care of and the good it will do is clear.
The “About” section on your blog should contain something good, and we think the more details you can provide the better it is. People do want to know about the business end of things, but they also respond quite positively when there is something about you and of course a good photo. No need to go on and on about your life, but just something like two or three hundred words should suffice quite well. It is pretty simple because the About/bio section is just a little background story of you, and that will give them something which is obviously better than nothing. Another important factor about trust is repeated exposures and consistency, so do keep that in mind as well.
Consider that we only discussed three items, and yes of course that is not the end of the trust story. We also recommend you study site usability because that is highly related to credibility and trust.
