New York native Dave Rodriguez wrote, directed, and produced the two-time award-winning independent feature ‘Push,’ which starred Chad Lindberg, Michael Rapaport and Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri. Released theatrically in the summer of 2006 in Los Angeles and on DVD later that year, it is currently playing on Showtime and TMC. ‘Push’ won the Audience Award at The Method Fest, Best Director at the Long Island International Film Festival, and was one of six domestic features selected by HBO’s NY International Latino Film Festival in 2006. Rodriguez also directed a short entitled ‘She Kills He,’ which was selected by 9 different film festivals and won Best Short at the Miami International Short Film Festival in 2005. The short was released on MTV’s LOGO network in 2007 and is currently available on iTunes. Rodriguez, a former U.S. Marine, South Florida corrections and law enforcement officer and graduate of New York Military Academy, has garnered a solid reputation among his entertainment industry peers, built from a foundation of self discipline and sharp creative instincts. In addition to serving as principle producer on 'Push,' he again assumed multiple identities for his commercial work, acting as production designer, producer, writer of all copy and director.
